Product Description
Potassium Iodide (KI) is a white crystalline powder, highly soluble in water with excellent bioavailability and stability under proper storage. Widely used in pharmaceuticals for thyroid treatment and radiation prophylaxis, food fortification to prevent iodine deficiency disorders, photographic processing, and chemical synthesis. Supplied by Zenco Systems Ltd across East Africa including Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, Burundi, South Sudan, Ethiopia, Somalia, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Hygroscopic in nature, it must be stored in cool, dry, sealed containers and handled with protective gloves to avoid moisture exposure.
