Product Description

Sodium Citrate is a sodium salt of citric acid widely used across Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania and Rwanda. This product is chemically known as trisodium citrate dihydrate with the formula Na3C6H5O7·2H2O. It appears as a white crystalline powder that is easily soluble in water. Sodium Citrate acts as an effective buffering agent and emulsifier. It is used in food and beverage, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, and water treatment industries. The product improves texture, shelf life, and stability of formulations.
