Product Description
Refined Castor Oil is a natural, vegetable-derived oil obtained by refining castor beans. Predominantly composed of triglycerides, with ricinoleic acid as the major fatty acid, it is characterized by the formula C57H104O9. The oil appears as a pale yellow to clear liquid with a characteristic mild odor. Soluble in organic solvents but insoluble in water, it serves as a moisturizing agent, plasticizer, and lubricant used widely in cosmetic formulations, pharmaceuticals, lubricants, and industrial manufacturing processes across East Africa. Proper storage in cool, dry places away from direct sunlight is critical to maintain stability.
