Product Description
Butyl Glycol, also known as 2-Butoxyethanol (C6H14O2, CAS 111-76-2), is a colorless, transparent liquid solvent with a mild ether-like odor. It exhibits excellent solubility in water and organic solvents and is widely used across East African industries including paint, coatings, detergents, industrial cleaning, and inks. Supplied by Zenco Systems Ltd in Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda and neighboring countries, Butyl Glycol facilitates efficient cleaning, degreasing, and formulation of coatings and detergents. Storage in sealed containers, away from heat and ignition, and use of personal protective equipment are essential due to its irritant nature.
